"What we play is life."

So in being a community assistant, which is a really good prep for being an RA, I am required to put on two programs a semester. Just now, I was thinking to myself, "hey, I really want to go salsa dancing or something". And then it struck me.

I could teach swing dancing!

You know, for my program? I was in swing club, I remember enough of the basic dances... (what were they again?) The East Coast, the Lindy, and what else? I'll google it. But I could totally put that on!

It would be kickass. I've already recruited my roomie. I'm going to start asking my floormates if they would go were I to put this on. Then I can try to blackmail--I mean, ask nicely my fellow freshmen marching band members, and some other dudes I know. I bet Leah would come. I'd have to make it all-hall and advertise for it, but I just want to make sure I have at least ten people coming or the whole program would be pointless.

But how exciting would this be! What a fun program to put on.

I'm so excited! This would be so fun, and what a way to get my program out of the way.

Now I'm even more excited to go back to marching band on Monday. Not only am I bringing my camera with me to take pictures for my RA app, but now I get to ask my fellow freshmen if they would do me a favor and come to my program! Plus, I kind of need a (preferably) male partner to demonstrates moves with. That's what John did in swing club, he always danced with Ashley Hanson or someone who knew the dances really well. Hmm.

Yes. Time to google swing dancing and make sure I'm up to date. :D
